The Shutter is a motorized dimming device designed for use with metal halide and xenon light source fixtures.

The Phoebus Shutter models MDS-9, MDS-14 and MDS-20 have a 9", 14" and 20" aperture respectively and operate with a smooth chatterless movement responding to DMX-512 or 0 to 10 volt analog control. Powered by 120 or 220 volt AC, the Shutter features internal cooling fans for safe reliable operation.

The Shutter can be combined with a color scroller and mounted to a variety of lighting fixtures. Each Shutter has a channel assignment switch and an in and out XLR connector making it easy to daisy chain. A complete weather tight enclosure is available for full-time outdoor applications.

The responsive smooth movement of the Shutter enables an operator to create and control a whole new range of lighting effects for theatre, rock concert and motion picture production.
